Derek Spires is a member of the National Auctioneers and Valuers Association and we hold regular collective auction sales throughout the year, with our first sale having been conducted in 1976.

Auction has the advantage of a fixed date for both the sale and completion and would normally speed up the selling process, provide for a binding contract on the fall of the auctioneer's gavel and, if there is strong competition from would-be buyers, this method of sale is an excellent way of achieving a premium price. It also demonstrates that the best possible price is realised in an open market situation and our high percentage sold rate has proved how successful sale by auction can be in the right circumstances.
